St. Matthew's is a loving, sacramental community, welcoming all to share life’s joys and challenges as a family; to learn and grow in Christ;  and to passionately serve each other, Austin, and the world.
We invite you to join us.

Are you interested in knowing more about St. Matthew's and the Episcopal Church? Please contact the Rev. Merrill Wade at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  for more information. A note from Merrill: I have just begin a class on Sunday mornings at 9:15am called Discovery Class that is an orientation to the faith and worship of our church. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions about your faith or our traditions!  And I strongly encourage you to attend my class on Sunday mornings. For those interested in receiving prayers by a Bishop of the Episcopal Church to become an Episcopalian, Bishop Dena Harrison will be present at St. Matthew's for a special service on Sunday, October 5, at 4:00pm in the Sanctuary. The Discovery Class is excellent preparation for the Bishop's visit.

The Soul of a Musician Series gathers with Austin's finest singer/songwriters Sunday nights at 7:30pm at the Spicewood Tavern. We are on a summer hiatus from June 29 - August 10.  We begin again on Sunday, August 17, with Austin favorite Sara Hickman!
