Pentecost Picnic, Sunday, May 11, 2008
It’s a Triple Day Celebration – Mother’s Day, Pentecost and Our 50th Anniversary!
WEAR YOUR 50th ANNIVERSARY RED T-SHIRTS! If you don’t have one, WEAR RED anyway. We will have a parish portrait taken right after the service and before going to the luncheon in Huffman Hall for the 50th anniversary booklet.

The next event scheduled to celebrate our St. Matthew’s 50th Anniversary is the traditional Pentecost Picnic to be held on Sunday, May 11th. Esther Garcia (918-3359) and Kyra Alexander (257-8418) will be organizing this fun filled event.

Here are some exciting details of our day: Volunteers will be needed for the following activities: set-up, serve, clean up, shop for the meal, decorate (the color is red for Pentecost Sunday and our Children’s Ministry Coordinator, Kathy Dugat, has some great ideas) and carnation ordering. Additionally we need volunteers to chaperone the “jumpy house” and help with children’s activities.

This will be a great celebration and is geared to be fun for all ages. If you have any questions, please contact Kyra or Esther.

DON'T FORGET TO WEAR RED!
