The 20’s & 30’s Group at St. Matthew’s
2008 Events
May 20, 7:30 – 9:00 pm: Join us to discuss different theological questions and concerns pertaining to our age group in our "Theology and You" gatherings. Our presenter this month is our very own Rev. Jim Williams. We have in our midst a very knowledgeable and experienced man about civil rights and social justice issues. Jim will share some of his experiences as an activist during the Civil Rights Movement and in particular the March on Washington. The meeting is held at the North Lamar Central Market where you may enjoy many different choices of beverages or food. There will be childcare available for this event in St. Matthew’s nursery! You can drop off your child beginning at 7:00 pm and pick up will be at 9:30 pm.
Sunday May 11th: Alternative 5:15 pm Service: This service is especially designed for the 20’s & 30’s Group to come together and worship in the sanctuary of St. Matthew’s. All are welcome to attend. An alternative service is designed to create an environment for interesting and innovative liturgy. The liturgy is specifically drawn from various Episcopal and Anglican resources throughout our wide and diverse communion. The Rev. Kevin Schubert will preside.
For those of you who are in their twenties and thirties (or those who wish they
still were) come and enjoy a series called “Theology and You.” Join us once a

age group in our "Theology and You" gatherings. Each month a
different theologian will give a presentation and then lead a discussion.
Each meeting will be held at the North Lamar Central Market where you may enjoy
many different choices of beverages or food. More information relating to this
event will be sent through our group email list. There will be childcare
available for this event in St. Matthew’s nursery! You can drop off your child
beginning at 7:00 pm and pick up will be at 9:30 pm.
