Grief Recovery Group
Mondays from 5:30-6:30 PM and Wednesdays from 1-2 PM
Room B-6 (Bride's Room)

All of us will experience a significant loss at some time in our lives. It is estimated that such losses occur at a rate that probably impacts 10% of our Church Community at any one time. These losses range from death of a family member, job loss, divorce, serious illness and other losses that impact us in a way that alters our normal, daily activities. You have a place where you can go to find love and comfort - the St. Matthew's Grief Group. This group meets every Monday evening from 6:30-7:30 PM and Wednesday afternoons from 1-2 PM in Room B-6.

We respect the various ways that grief impacts each of us. Everyone grieves differently and the time interval of recovery varies widely with each individual. Even though we may experience similar losses, we don't presume to know how anyone feels. In this group our facilitators introduce a related subject from various published grief recovery "source books." We encourage discussion of the subject, however each person is free to respond or remain silent.

Please feel free to contact our facilitators, Pat Boon, 345-1137, Kelley Meyer, 301-4123, or Janice Watkins janiwat@outerscape.net if you have questions or just come and meet with us.
