Ministry of the Month:
Honduras International Mission
The Honduras Scholarship Program supports the efforts of the Episcopal Church of Honduras in providing secondary education to the children of the Deanery of El Paraiso, a remote area in the southwest of the country.
- The Church and people of Honduras see education as the key to the future of the country.
- Almost half of the Honduran population of 6.5 million are 15 years or younger.
- Honduras now surpasses Haiti in the incidence of malnourished children.
- Two-thirds of the people of Honduras live below the poverty line of $2 a day.
- The Honduran Government does not have the means to support Secondary Education
- The Episcopal Church of Honduras is experiencing explosive growth
At this time, we are helping 116 children reach their dream of an education. With a budget of approximately $20,000.00 a year, dream is made possible by people like, you who give and care for His children. The people of Honduras have taught us to dream and work, and we expect with His guidance, to double the number of students and budget in the coming year.
The needs are great, but we serve a great God
