Study Groups

Every Tuesday evening at 8:00 this group meets in the homes of its members or in B14 (check the Weekly Word Calendar for location each week). Over 30 persons regularly participate. This group meets at 6:30 a.m. in Huffman Hall to study the coming week’s propers. Tom LeMond facilitates and members take turns cooking breakfast. Average attendance is 14.

This Class meets every Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Room B-14. Our main focus is Bible Study, however at times we will do a Book Study and also Book Reviews. We also plan to have monthly Covered Dish Luncheons as well as an occasional Day Trip - perhaps even an over night trip to places of Interest. Our class offers an opportunity for Bible Study as well as the opportunity for sharing our faith as we learn together. Bring your favorite Bible and join us!

A women's Bible study group, meeting Thursdays at the noon hour in room the library as a brown-bag lunch for the convenience of women working inside or outside the home. Together, with the Rev. Susan Barnes, we study the Scriptures and other works of spiritual literature with particular emphasis on their application to our daily lives. Past studies include the book of Luke, Women in the Bible and Marcus Borg’s The Heart of Christianity. Recent studies include spiritual disciplines and Huston Smith’s The World’s Religions: Our Great Wisdom Traditions.

Join us in the library from 12:00-1:00 for a study of What Jesus Meant, a wonderful book about the Beatitudes. We will be studying this book for the next eight weeks (June 26-August 14), with The Rev. Susan Barnes leading the sessions.
