The Art of Engaging Holy Scripture (TAEHS)

Now two years into our use of The Art of Engaging Holy Scripture (TAEHS), St. Matthew’s has more than two dozen people who continue in this life-giving method. More than a Bible study, TAEHS integrates the ancient practice of praying the Bible with modern approaches to studying in a small group. TAEHS awakens participants to the presence of the Holy Spirit in the text, in their own self, in their sisters and brothers, and, finally, in their common life together. This dynamic process bears the fruit of a “community of the Spirit.”

The classes meet for one hour/week (at St. Matthew’s) and are limited to 10 members each. The first trimester of the introductory course is eleven weeks long and costs $45. Childcare can be provided upon request.
