Our St. Matthew’s community is comprised of all ages, stations in life and theological backgrounds. Although we are each unique human beings, we are united in our desire to carry out our mission statement, "To know Christ, grow in Christ, and share Christ's love". We also strive to follow the two greatest commandments our Lord gave us, to "love the Lord with all our heart, soul and mind," and to "love our neighbor as ourselves" (Matt. 22:37-39).
Everything we do at St. Matthew’s, from our worship services, educational offerings, fellowship groups, pastoral care, outreach, stewardship, newcomer activities to just having good old fashioned fun, we try to do to the honor and glory of God.
The truly distinctive quality about the St. Matthew’s parish community is we genuinely love and care about each other. In a parish of over 1,000 members, this is only possible when we individually get involved in one of our many programs. With over 80 ministries from which to choose, there is a place somewhere for everyone at St. Matthew’s. How closely one chooses to get involved directly relates to one’s sense of connecting within the larger community.
