Pastoral Care is an important part of the Christian walk of every member of St. Matthew's. Our theme is "Every Member a Minister". Learning to share in prayer, fellowship, and loving concern is a part of our growth in Christ.

Call the parish office (512) 345-8314 if you need help or feel called to give help. It is a great blessing to walk together in Christ's Love.

Prayer and Healing Ministries

Wednesday 7 a.m. Communion
Wednesday Noon Communion and Healing Prayer
Sunday Morning Prayer Teams at the 10:30 a.m. service
Order of St. Luke: A ministry dedicated to prayer and healing.
Daughters of the King: a woman's ministry dedicated to service and prayer - contact Margaret Carpenter 345-7630
Brotherhood of St. Andrew: A men's ministry dedicated to service and prayer - contact Jim Sparks at 345-7757

Service Ministries

The Community of Hope: lay people trained to offer pastoral care
Good Samaritans: provide food in times of special need
Retirement Home Ministry: brings religious services to retirement homes
Hospital Visitation Ministry: visit those in the hospital
Lay Eucharistic Visitors: bring communion to the homebound

Grief Support: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in Room B-6 and 6:30 p.m. Monday in Room B-6

Alzheimer's Support Groups

Patient Support 2^nd Friday of each month in Room B-6 (Call Alzheimer Association 454-5746 to insure space) 9:30-11 a.m.
Care Givers Support 3^rd Friday of each month in Room B-6 9:00-11 a.m.

Care for the Caregiver: 9:00 a.m. on the 2nd Thursday of the month in Room B-18
