Place the information portion in the offertory plate and affix the name tag so that we may identify and welcome you. Priority One: Quality Care for your Children is available from 8:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Nurseries for children 0-18 months are located in Huffman Hall on the parking lot side of the hallway. The nursery for children 18 months - 4 years is in the Education Building. There is also a comfortable, soundproof room upstairs for adults who wish to keep their babies with them during the service.

Let Us Be Your Support System for love, prayer, the support of a friend, or a meal in time of need. With loving respect and confidentiality, we offer these and many other pastoral care services to our church family. Contact the church office, 345-8314, with needs and requests. In case of emergency, St. Matthew’s clergy may be reached by calling 771-0680

Home Communion is Available if you are unable to come to church and would like Holy Communion brought to you on Sunday, please call Jim Sparks at 345-7757.

*today (and every Sunday) Prayer Teams are available during Communion at Prayer Stations on either side of the sanctuary. One station is located on the east side, by the windows, and the other station is on the west side in the gallery. Prayer requests and discussion are completely confidential.

*today GOOD FAITH FUND As this is the first Sunday of the month, the loose offering and so-designated checks will be given to the Good Faith Fund through which alms are collected and distributed.

*Visitor’s Orientation will be held every other week. At that time one of the priests will meet with you to greet and answer questions you may have. If you are visiting today and would like to know more about St. Matthew’s and what it has to offer you, please gather at the front of the sanctuary NEXT WEEK immediately after the 10:30 service.

*J2A Pilgrimage Youth, Parents, and Families! Please come to a brief meeting with Merrill Wade after church NEXT Sunday, November 10, in the Agape youth building. Your J2A leaders will be sharing important information with you about what's going on with pilgrimage as of right now. If you still haven't decided, it's not too late! Come hear the scoop from the sources!

*El Buen Samaritano’s Food Pantry is running low! Remember to bring your non-perishibles to church and place in the big basket in the commons. All contributions are welcome and special requests are listed in the Weekly Word at the top of the calendar page. Muchas Gracias!

*Last Sunday was Ingathering Sunday and some of you may have missed it. If you weren't here and would like to make a pledge to St. Matthew's for the year 2003, fill out one of the blue pledge cards you will find in the chairs and put it in the collection plate. It will be turned in to the office. If you prefer you may bring it to the office or drop it in the mail.

*MEN’S FELLOWSHIP MEETING Get ready to have fun, get to know new men in the parish, pitch horseshoes and eat! How much better does it get? Play tennis, basketball too. Monday, November 11, 5:30 until 8:00 p.m. All this activity will be at the Lakewood Clubhouse located just west of Loop 360. If you need directions call 913-5440 or the church office 345-8314. All men of St. Matthew’s are urged to come participate.

*The Xplorers, a fellowship/study group for young adults, invites you to join us after 10:30 church today for a potluck lunch (visitors, no dish necessary!) and a discussion about religion and politics, led by a group member who works in politics/ journalism. Visitors and newcomers most welcome! This will be a short two-week study, followed by two weeks on Episcopal history. *Next Sunday, November 10, is designated for United Thank Offering. Please bring the contents of your blue box for this special collection.

Construction on our new, custom-designed sound system continues. This work should be completed by mid-November.. The sanctuary will be in various states of construction throughout the process.

*Sincere Thanks to all who helped with the Garage Sale last weekend. Many folks were involved donating, buying, sorting, pricing, selling, cleaning up, and we thank each and every one of you. The weather outside was frightful and profits were not as good as expected but all in all the project was successful.
