Excellent, Experienced Child Care for Your Young Children is Offered from 7:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. Nurseries for children 0-18 months are located in Huffman Hall on the parking lot side of the hallway. The nursery for children 18 months - 4 years is in the Education Building. There is also a comfortable, soundproof room upstairs for adults who wish to keep their babies with them during the service.
Home Delivery of Holy Communion If you are unable to come to church and would like Holy Communion brought to you on Sunday, please call Jim Sparks at 345-7757.
Thanks for Wearing Your Nametag! If you need a new nametag please see Dedee Norman at the Welcome Table in the Commons right after church. Thanks for faithfully wearing your nametag each and every Sunday.
Personal Prayer Teams are available during Communion at Prayer Stations on either side of the sanctuary. One station is located on the east side, by the windows, and the other station is on the west side in the gallery. Prayer requests and discussion are completely confidential.
The Good Samaritans Ministry offers love in the form of a hot meal for you and your family if you are in the hospital, sick, or recovering from adversity. In addition, other pastoral care services are available if you will just call the church office, 345-8314 with your needs and requests. In case of emergency, St. Matthew’s clergy may be reached by calling 771-0680.

A picnic in the grandest Texas style awaits you as we celebrate St. Matthews Day in Huffman Hall and the Courtyard. There will be one service only on Sunday, September 21, at 10:30 a.m., followed by the picnic prepared by our own Holy Smokers. There will be entertainment for children and adults. $5 / person or $15 / family can be placed in the baskets at the door. Wear red!

Immediate! Urgent! Heads Up Please We are required to leave clearance for emergency vehicles in both parking lots and unless the colored curbs are left vacant, this is not possible. If we were to need the services of fire trucks and/or ambulances, they could not pass. If the lot is full when you arrive, please park at Anderson High School and walk in. By all means, please do not park along our red or yellow curbs. Thanks so much for your cooperation.

Our mornings begin at 9:00, with the outstanding program, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, that nurtures the spiritual lives of our children, age 3 years - 5th grade. Please bring them, following the maps around campus, on your way to one of the adults' spiritual formation classes. Then, at the beginning of the service, children age 3 years - 3rd grades may choose to attend chapel services, (whether moving directly from Sunday School class or following an acolyte, leaving the service) or they may choose to attend the entire service. All children return to the service at the offering of Peace.Daily Evening Prayer in the Cauley Bell Tower Chapel Continues every night at 6:00 p.m. Evening Prayer is led by a lay reader of the church. Lasting 12-15 minutes, the service involves the reading of a psalm, a scripture lesson and includes prayers and intercessions for the church and the world.
*Laredo Ladies! Since we are using a new bus company, I must ask you to have your reservations to me by September 15 (tomorrow). The bus has to be paid in full by October 1st since we are a new customer. We may have to skip some of the perks if 40 don’t go, but we will make up for it in Fun! $110 for double room, bus ride and hopefully one perk. Cosecha Abundante del Otońo (Abundant Harvest for Fall)
The food pantry at El Buen Samaritano is in desperate need of help. Because El Buen is striving to provide nutritional meals, they are specifically asking for canned vegetables and fruits and canned meats. They also need non-sweetened cereals (oatmeal, shredded wheat, etc.) Staples such as dry beans and rice are also welcome. Your food donation will be received at the Altar and blessed before it is given to El Buen.
Requested Donation: $5 per person $15 maximum per family
