Excellent, Experienced Child Care for Your Young Children is Offered from 7:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. Nurseries for children 0-18 months are located in Huffman Hall on the parking lot side of the hallway. The nursery for children 18 months - 4 years is in the Education Building. There is also a comfortable, soundproof room upstairs for adults who wish to keep their babies with them during the service.
Home Delivery of Holy Communion If you are unable to come to church and would like Holy Communion brought to you on Sunday, please call Jim Sparks at 345-7757.
Thanks for Wearing Your Nametag! If you need a new nametag please see Dedee Norman at the Welcome Table in the Commons right after church. Thanks for faithfully wearing your nametag each and every Sunday.
Personal Prayer Teams are available during Communion at Prayer Stations on either side of the sanctuary. One station is located on the east side, by the windows, and the other station is on the west side in the gallery. Prayer requests and discussion are completely confidential.
The Good Samaritans Ministry offers love in the form of a hot meal for you and your family if you are in the hospital, sick, or recovering from adversity. In addition, other pastoral care services are available if you will just call the church office, 345-8314 with your needs and requests. In case of emergency, St. Matthew’s clergy may be reached by calling 771-0680.

The adult education class "The Bible: Content and Context" will continue with Dab Cauley speaking on "Readings from the Gospel of John," Marty Novak will speak Sunday, October 12 on "Historical Reflections on the Gospel of John." The class meets in Huffman Hall every Sunday at 9 a.m.*The Xplorers, a fellowship/study group for young adults, wants to invite you to come meet with us and see if our group is for you. Join us today as we go out to eat together at Luby's. Meet right outside the sanctuary after the 10:30 service to carpool. *Flu Shots Available to Parishioners Wednesday, October 8, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, the Senior Activity Center will sponsor a Flu Shot Clinic. Shots will be provided on a first come, first served basis. No appointments are necessary. Persons having Medicare Part B will receive the shot at no charge but must have their Medicare card with them. The shot will be available to those without Medicare Part B for a charge of $15cash or check. (Make checks payable to First Care Home Health.) The clinic will be held in Room B-18. St. Matthew’s Day School Parent Education Night: Wednesday, October 8, 7 – 9 in the Sanctuary. Practicing Healthy Anger Management for Healthy Families. Taught by nationally recognized author, educator and Child Development Specialist, Claire Flynn. If you plan to attend, and will need a babysitter, you must RSVP to cherie@blindoutfitters.com with the names and ages of your children by 4:00 p.m. tomorrow, Monday, October 6.

Bible Study
convening at 3:45 on Thursdays in B-14 to study Max Lucado's The Applause of Heaven which is a study of the Beatitudes. It's not too late! Join us.We still need "Activity Pictures" for the Pictorial Directory. Here is your chance to get your group or ministry included in the pages of the Directory. On each picture, please write your name, phone and a caption explaining the "who, what and where". It’s not too late but time is running out. Daily Evening Prayer in the Cauley Bell Tower Chapel Continues every night at 6:00 p.m. Evening Prayer is led by a lay reader of the church. Lasting 12-15 minutes, the service involves the reading of a psalm, a scripture lesson and includes prayers and intercessions for the church and the world.
